Humanities & Sciences (FE)

Introduction

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of the Department of Humanities and Sciences SSJCOE, Dombivli, I, Prof. Shepal Sonyabapu Popat, HOD welcome you all. I am happy to lead the department established in 1994 having a glorious history of 30 years, which serves as the cornerstone for engineers and aims to improve critical thinking, knowledge acquisition, information transformation, and technical analysis. The department develops and shapes the students while preserving their sensitivity so they may join the quickly evolving pragmatic world.
Our goal has always been to transfer knowledge through a close-knit group of very skilled academic members. The staff’s approach to teaching and learning develops students’ capacity for critical thought as well as their analytical abilities. An engineering college’s Department of Humanities & scientific is essential to the teaching of foundational scientific and humanities courses to engineering students in all fields.
This department in engineering education aims to provide students with a firm foundation in the foundations of a number of courses, such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, and communication skills. This will enable them to move forward into subsequent years of study equipped with current knowledge and training in fundamental engineering skills. Our laboratories, which include physics, chemistry, BEE, and CAD-CAM, are incredibly well-equipped, not only to cover the complete curriculum but also to stimulate pupils to go beyond it. This allows students to have a thorough understanding of the subject, both theoretically and practically.
The department employs informed, professional personnel who are always awake. Students hold the instructors with great regard, and they have outstanding academic records. As a consequence, our energetic personnel, who are completely devoted to the first-year department, work tirelessly to make the subjects approachable and fascinating like Expert presentations, site visits, technical events, athletic and cultural events, soft skills training, and other activities keep them interested in academics. These broaden their horizons.
