Sanctioned Intake- 60
The Branch of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, caters to the use of sophisticated machinery and Electronic processes in order to create cutting-edge communication systems that can process data at incredibly lightning speeds. These days, nearly every aspect of our lives is impacted by the field of Electronics and Telecommunication. From the mobile phones, to digital gadgets which we use in our day-to-day life come under the broader category of Electronics and Communication.
One of the biggest contributions of Electronics to human society is the availability of affordable communication products, which are essential to our everyday life. Consumer gadgets, computer technology, and Telecommunications are all developing at a rapid rate these days. Every new technological advancement, including the internet, mobile phones, smart televisions, satellite communications, radio, and telephone, have completely changed how we live and perceive the world.
New technologies are always being developed; 5G phones, for example, allow users to watch high-definition video in real time whereas research on 6G and 7G technologies are underway. Technological advancements in Electronics and telecommunications have fuelled all of these developments.
Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at SSJCOE, Dombivli (E) is established with well-equipped laboratories and computer facilities. These laboratories provide platform for learning not only theory but also practical and simulation aspects of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
To inculcate knowledge into students the department organises Expert lectures, Add-On programs, Project competitions, National Science Day Competition, Oscillations and motivates them to participate in outreach program. The department encourages students to participate and present their projects in inter-collegiate events organised under the banner of ISF (IETE students Forum) organised by IETE Mumbai Centre.
